Decisions

Do it, he said.

Don’t even think about it, he said.

It’s hard to make decisions when your personality fights itself.

So I did nothing, resigned to continue in obscurity, to languish in nonexistence.

I did this for a very long time.

the fact that you dont allow messages via carrier pigeon offends me

Only you, and only if it drops a ten dollar bill at my feet instead of a baby stork

(This is a joke, I have resigned myself to not giving a damn about the money)

How to contact me.

This is apparently a bit of a question so I figure I’ll try and make a post about it and see if I can’t reach a few more people.

Cell phone. Call or text. I may or may not have it on me at the moment, I’m not as attached to it as some of you are, but it’s there and it works.

Email. You can text it too, if you want. It’s been a bit funky lately so if you’re not getting replies and you’re clearly asking for them, then there’s a chance your messages aren’t getting through. Redirect to some other avenue.

Twitter. Facebook. I’m on both of these machines. Get at me. You can leave messages on either anytime - I check them a lot even if I don’t sit on them when I’m busy.

Other than that you can come to my house and knock on my door and if my car’s out front then I’m probably home and you can ring the doorbell really loudly and probably piss me off in the process so it better be important!

…and missed my grad party. my slideshow had at least three/four pictures of you!

Shit girl I went over this! I really wanted to be there!

So I spent the weekend in Minnesota.

Got up early Saturday morning and drove for six hours all the way up into Bloomington, right outside of Minneapolis.

Checked into our hotel, sat for about five minutes, then took the bus to the Mall of America! It’s been a long long time since I’ve been and the last time wasn’t for long so it was basically like seeing it for the first time.

The Lego store is imposing as always, and everything else is a blast to run through. I ended up getting a nice pair of flip flops and a fancy wool fedora - you know, to match how much of a dork I am. I obviously won’t be wearing them at the same time!

Then back to the hotel for a swim and a bed. Wake up the next morning entirely too early for a breakfast that was entirely underwhelming and then waited for a length of time that was not long enough to go swimming again but was too long to watch the news and not still be bored.

Then into the city for a Twins-Tigers baseball game! The Tigers made it interesting, getting up 2-0 in the first inning then basically doing nothing (and letting the Twins build up a 3-2 lead) until the ninth, when a 2-run homer to center field clinches the win after the second half of the inning.

It’s always fun to be the out-of-town fans, yelling at all the wrong times, arguing over all the wrong calls, being told to “calm down” when he was clearly out by a mile, get your glasses back on, you stupid old man.

Then immediately into the car for a six-hour drive home, where there was a lot of reading, then music, then nothing down the home stretch. Then home, and I’m here, and didn’t have a bad time.

I think I just lost three hours.

Dungeons of Dredmor is such an absolutely fantastic game once you get into it.

Tonight’s adventures included literally coming within two health points of dying because of acid bolts gone awry, a severe lack of magical anvils, and a monster zoo that was the size of four rooms, held over 200 monsters, and took 45 minutes to clear (and twice as long to reset the event ticker).

So, a good day.

You’d think college would be harder than high school.

Took two placement exams today, one for math and one for computer science.

Aced the three parts of the Math exam I was supposed to take. 42 out of 50 on the computer science test, which is good enough for me to skip a class and go straight to compsci II, or whatever the course name is.

So that’s fun.

Dungeons of Dredmor is 50% off

Minus only Team Fortress 2, this is the game I’ve put the most hours into for the money, and it’s a brilliant, fun, difficult game for cheap anyway. Go get it!

Rock Band drums are difficult.

The bass pedal will be the death of me, even if the crash cymbal is the saving grace.

So, today.

There was baseball practice, with a team (and a coach) that shows promise!

There was the last soccer game for my brother Eli, with a close game and some awesome goals!

There was Minecraft, with a new enchanted pickaxe, thanks to Nick, and other goodies.

There was graduation parties, with food and drinks and water gun fights and more water gun fights and jesus christ stop spraying me with water gun fights and also more water. And guns. And fighting.

Then there was Shadow Lake, and a bit of walking around and looking at delicious chocolate (but not buying the ridiculously expensive chocolate) and looking at the men’s section at Bath and Body Works (which is two racks in a store of forty-ish) and trying on a button-up shirt (which really isn’t my style but I wouldn’t avoid entirely if someone got it for me) and then coming home.

Now, there is a bit of computer time, and time to relax. It’s a good time.

Eric Kelly is just a dick but he owns a gym and has a fast mouth.

creatememorieslivelife replied to your post: So I saw the Avengers.

Pretty sure it’s Hawk Eye not Green arrow.

Shit. I suck at super heroes

So I saw the Avengers.

It was pretty righteous. Captain America is the everyman hero, Thor is the otherworldly badass, Iron Man does a lot of the heavy lifting (and complaining), Hulk smashes (eventually), Black Widow, uh, does some stuff, yeah, and Hawk Eye shoots people.

And there’s this bad guy and a whole plot that sort of makes sense and also Nick Fury is there and he shoots some stuff and generally the movie is a lot of fun to watch and is funny and also super cool with explosions and things.

So go see it if you haven’t already!

In which I try to jump Westoad’s fence… try being the key word.

bri-na-nom replied to your post: I shall call you Productive Day and you shall be mine.

Your day looks a lot like my day, except Sinful Burger was the shit. Also, I will say again, “Why Libertarian?” Gosh, you frustrate me. And, I did a bunch of Thank Yous too.

Buffalo Wild Wings because I had a ride and also knew more people were going there. Libertarian because statistical reasons - it is most me and so I picked it. Frustrating you was just a nice side effect!
